Italian leather crafters Tod’s has teamed with American ready-to-wear designer Gabriela Hearst on a shoe with heart. The Love Shoe is a project that not only looks beautiful, it’s for a beautiful cause- 20% of the shoe’s sales benefits Save the Children, a charity aiding underprivileged children around the world. The men’s style brogue features a calf leather upper, dual layered soles made of woven trim and rubber, and an adorable Morse code detail reading “love” adorning the shoe’s perimeters.
Hearst worked with Peruvian photographer Hans Neumann to promote the shoe with a cause; with the help of celebrities such as Dakota Fanning, Miroslava Duma and Lauren Hutton. The Love Shoe will available in black, navy, silver and white varieties, and will retail for $645 US. The Love Shoe should be available at Tod’s locations and online at Tods.com for Fall 2016.
