It is good business nowadays to have Pharrell involved; no one knows this more than LVMH head honcho Bernard Arnault. As such, fine American jewelry house Tiffany & Co. has announced the debut of the Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams collection. The collection is inspired by the mythological Greek God of the Sea, Poseidon’s trident. A fierce and boldly designed instrument, Williams has adapted the trident to express one’s energy, power and force. This three-pronged spear is the perfect balance of tensions, proportion and balance.
Adopting the structure of the trident, the Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams collection has sharp, spear-like spikes throughout the array of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings. This gives the design a very punk spirit. The collection is available in 18k yellow gold or titanium, with all-metal and diamond versions.
“I’m very inspired by the water, and the name of this collection “Titan” draws inspiration from Poseidon, ruler of the sea, King of Atlantis – “Atlantis” which is also the name of the community I grew up in Virginia Beach. The detail in all of the jewelry pieces is very intentional, the use of black titanium…it’s a physical manifestation of beauty in blackness.” Pharrell Williams
Each piece is unique in how it differs from more conventional jewelry designs. The technical precision in each design, from the unexpected diamond settings to the use of titanium, showcases Pharrell’s and the House’s commitment to flawless craftsmanship.
Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams will be available this May exclusively on Tiffany.com in the US and at The Flagship store in New York City, with the collection being made available globally in June.
