Philadelphia indie group The War On Drugs have shared details of their fourth full-length album, A Deeper Understanding, due out August 25 via Atlantic Records.
Having previously shared world tour dates that will see them on the road for over two months this fall, as well as an 11-minute track entitled “Thinking of a Place” for Record Store Day, The War On Drugs are back today with the announcement of A Deeper Understanding and the record’s lead single “Holding On”.
A Deeper Understanding will serve as the band’s follow up to 2014’s gorgeous Lost In The Dream and was brought to life with the help of engineer Shawn Everett, who has previously worked with the likes of Weezer and Alabama Shakes.
