Tomorrow night Vice is putting on a very fabulous photo exhibition at the lovely hidden Forty-Seven gallery in Parkdale.
Run by Dennis Lin and Jaclyn Quaresma, two Toronto-based artists, without the help of any outside funding, the artist space is meant mainly for installation and sculpture works.
The building has had quite a past, formally a bank storage facility and a wood-working shop before it was a gallery, Quaresma says their aim is to “challenge the artist, empower the viewer and allow the artwork to affect.”
Curated by Daniel Pelissier of the photo zine Suckers Society, tomorrows photo show presented by Cheap Monday is set to be quite a cool little event (we say this even though we don’t know any of the artists being shown), with sponsors like Pikto and PBR, Sidewalk Hustle will be there for sure!
