History was made at Super Bowl LVI. Odell Beckham Jr., the Los Angles Rams wide receiver, warmed up while wearing a custom pair of cleats priced at $200,000.

The cleats include 1,494 individual white diamonds, weighing 25 carats. The process took over 100 hours to complete.

Partnering with sneaker designer The Shoe Surgeon as well as bespoke jeweller  Jason of Beverly Hills, a total of six cleats were made. Jalen Ramsey, Cooper Kupp, and Von Miller also got custom cleats.

Chrome Lombardi Cleat

Inspired by the Lombardi trophy, which is awarded to the winning teams of the Super Bowl, Jalen Ramsey’s cleat has a reflective chrome finish.

Cooper Kupp’s cleats were inspired by KAWS, a favourite of his.

“Big cultural moments like the Super Bowl fuels my creativity and inspires me to push my creative boundaries,” said Dominic Ciambrone (a.k.a The Shoe Surgeon). “Through the years, I’ve built a close relationship with athletes around our shared interests in expressing individuality through fashion. It’s an honour to bring their ideas together to help them celebrate these key moments in their careers.”
