From seemingly out of nowhere, melodically happy-pop band The Shins have releases a brand new song and video titled “Dead Alive.” Sent out into the world as a “Halloween Gift,” the track features a nice simple beat and cool bass line that will have your head nodding along instantly. The video was directed Shins frontman James Mercer and Jon Sortland, the keyboardist for Broken Bells, features Mercer lounging on a couch while watching a horror film called I Gleek On Your Grave.
