The NFL has released a new NFT collection, with each of the 32 teams offering a total of 52 non-fungible tokens. Each NFT, which looks like a playing card, sells for $52, and the selection was made in conjunction with the 2022 NFL Draft.

This isn’t the first time the NFL has issued NFTs. Back in February, the league issued virtual tickets based on Super Bowl LVI. There were also regular and playoff games, as well as previous Super Bowl championship games which also had NFT tickets included.

The digital assets are minted on Dapper Labs’ Flow blockchain. Flow is the same blockchain used for NFL All Day, NBA Top Shot, and UFC Strike operated on. Previously the NFL had minted NFT projects on the Polygon.

Previously, the NFL’s Joe Ruggiero said the league was “thrilled to partner with Dapper Labs in is launch of NFL digital video collectibles,” and that they “believe blockchain technology has a great potential to enhance the NFL fan experience in the future and we are excited to have Dapper Labs as one of our firs collaborators in exploring this emerging space.”
