Opening June 29, a new exhibit dedicated to the life and work of Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, will be housed at the Pendulum Gallery in Vancouver. The classic children’s books from the beloved author will be available to view and purchase. Also, expect to see concept drawing from the artist’s behind-the-scene creation process.
Celebrating 60 years of vibrant, curious, and playful illustrations, Dr. Seuss also created paintings and sculpture, which will be part of the exhibit. The gallery promises to reinvigorate the enjoyment and nostalgia of beloved characters, including The Cat in the Hat, Horton, and Sam-I-am.
According to the press release, each of the estate-authorized limited editions has been adapted and reproduced from Geisel’s original works (drawings, paintings, sculptures). Each work also comes with a printed or engraved Dr. Seuss signature, confirming it is authorized and commissioned on behalf of the Dr. Seuss Estate.
The exhibit will open on June 20 with three tours offered from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. PDT on June 23, June 29, and July 6.
