SXSW is days away and this year the city of Austin will play host to talent like De La Soul and Andrew Bird and see a ton of film premieres including Pet Semetary and Jordan Peele’s much-anticipated flick, Us. Festival-goers can experience things like Visible’s Music Box (where both musicians and non-musicians can play an instrument and record a track), or take in sensory and biometric technology like Lisa Park’s Blooming interactive installation. In addition to the art, film and music components, there’s a bunch of featured talks led by the likes of A$AP Rocky and Amanda Palmer. There will be rap battle presentations (“Pitch & Flow”), esports sessions, and 25 Tracks to choose from at the SXSW Conference (March 8 to March 16).
Here’s what we’re keen to check out SXSW 2019.
