The talented beauty Sudan Archives has announced the upcoming release of her second album, titled Natural Brown Prom Queen. With this news comes the banging new single “NBPQ (Topless)” which the artist herself describes as “my autobiography.” With lyrics discussing race and how she is “not average” the radical and textured track was self-produced by Sudan Archives along with Simon on the Moon, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Ben Dickey. As Sudan Archives explains, the song is “about my insecurities that I have being a brown skin Black female in the world and how to navigate through that while facing American beauty standards. It’s a song of redemption and freedom.”

Listen to NBPQ (Topless)” here and catch Sudan Archives live on tour at the dates below.
