Spring is finally well under way and summer is almost in sight. There are definitely still a few chilly days left in spring, so what better way to celebrate the crisp weather than trying out some of spring’s best beauty trends? If you’re into that i-woke-up-like-this hair and smokey shades of purple, you’ll love these trends!
Try them all out below and let us know how it went in the comments!
Plum Eye Shadow
This is such a great colour for Spring! Whether it be matte or shimmer, a plum shadow will give you a lighter, more feminine twist on the smokey eye. Stick to using one shade when doing a smokey eye and ensure that it is blended perfectly. If you’re not into rocking the full out smoke, opt for a plum liquid liner, which is less dramatic but just as gorgeous.
Black Liner
As usual, the black liner tends to stick around for almost every season, every year. If you’re a dedicated black liner girl, stick with it. Cat eyes and black waterlines are great for Spring! For a grunge-glam twist, use a black kohl liner on the upper and lower lid and smudge it out with your finger or a flat head brush.
Nude & Pastel Nails
Show off the beautiful apricots and bird egg blue shades on trend this month by painting it on your nails! It’s an easy way to rock a colour you might not be fully comfortable going full-on with. The pastel nails are a great addition to your standard black and white wardrobe, where nude nails are the perfect accessory to your bold gem coloured frocks.
The Red Lip
We are confident the red lip, just like the black liner is always going to be on trend, no matter what time of year. Matte red shades are key for spring, so be sure to keep those lips moisturized. When looking for that perfect Spring red, check out MAC Cosmetic’s Relentlessly Red, its a bright pinky red that will do wonders for brightening the face.
Air Dry Texture
Easy and effortless is where it’s at this spring. Messy locks, and imperfect waves is a great style to take you from the office to the party. To achieve the waves, take your flat iron, bending it downwards on some pieces and upwards with others. Finish off that hair with a palm full of mousse, and you my friend are good to go!
Pulled-Apart Fishtails
If you have yet to master the fishtail braid, now is the time to start. Braids can look uber-chic for a night out and are a great and easy way to avoid the hot-tools and access damage of constant hair washing. In order to get the perfect slept-in fishtail, you will need to spray your hair with a dry shampoo; this will give the hair some added texture. Next fishtail your hair and fasten at the end with a clear elastic. Once your braid is done, hold the end of the braid with one hand, while you pull apart sections of the braid. It might take a little practice, but we promise you will fall in love with this look!
