Spoon Announce New Album ‘They Want My Soul’

Spoon

Spoon have finally graced us with news of their forthcoming record They Want My Soul set to drop on August 5th via Loma Vista, a follow up to 2010’s Transference. The album marks the first time the band will have worked with outside producers like Joe Chiccarelli and Dave Fridmann, and will also feature musical contributions from Alex Fischel who played with Britt Daniel in Divine Fits.

They premiered clips of “Knock Knock Knock” and “Inside Out”, as well as a cover of Ann-Margret’s “I Just Don’t Understand” on NPR Music yesterday. Head two previews below and stay tuned for some full length tunes in the coming weeks from Spoon.

For the lucky enough to be going to Governors Ball in New York this weekend, they band may even premiere some of their new music live, so be sure to come back to check out our review of their set!
