Artist, musician and fashion icon Solange Knowles took over the famous Guggenheim Museum in New York last week to perform an art installation entitled ” An Ode To …”
The performance, which was a part of the Red Bull Music Academy Festival, included dancers and musicians dressed almost entirely in white who performed alongside Knowles as she sang her entire album A Seat at the Table. Guests were also expected to adhere to the all-white dress code, creating a striking image inside the museum. The piece was moving in its simplicity and scale, utilizing the unique architecture of the museum itself to add to Knowles’ artistic statement.
