Former DFA funk act and current City Slang signee Sinkane (aka Ahmed Gallab) has been making funky smooth tunes for a minute now. This February, he’s releasing his third studio album (titled Live & Livin’ It) and today he has shared a video for upcoming album cut “Telephone.”

Directed by Bráulio Amado & Bruno Ferreira the video features classically-trained ballet dancer Kelly Nakamura dancing in a neon-lit room as Sinkane is seen singing along on various TVs, “You must be alone/ Why else you calling on the phone?” As Gallab told Fader

“I recorded myself dancing to this song on my phone and sent it to Bráulio. I do this kind of thing a lot. Especially after getting out of the shower. You all should try it. It’ll change your life.”

Live & Livin’ It comes out February 10th on City Slang, pre-order it here. You can also catch Sinkane live at the dates below.
