For those of you who listen to and love A$AP Rocky’s Love.Live.A$AP mixtape, the name SpaceGhostPurrp may ring a bell. He produced and assisted “Keep it G” and showed off some bars in “Purple Swag Chapter 2.” Following this he went on to produce the well-known “Pretty Flacko.” This project put Rocky and the whole A$AP Mob on the map but somehow SGP wasn’t given the recognition he deserved despite his finger prints being all over it.
Early in his life, SpaceGhostPurrp knew he was destined to be in the music business. He started rapping at age 7 and producing when he was only 14, but his love for music started long before that. When he was only 5 he sat in the studio while his mother rapped with legends Bone Thugs N Harmony. Growing up his time was split between Miami and Atlanta, two Hip-Hop hubs, where he learned about life and loss.
In this exclusive interview with Sidewalk Hustle we ask SGP for all the answers that people are dying to hear. He’ll recount his relationship with A$AP Mob in a way he never has before and talk about his biggest musical influences.
Watch it above.
