We’ve lusted after everything SUPER has designed in the Puma and Black colourway, and the latest pair we’re pining for are a neat hybrid of the The Panama and the 49ers’ style shades. The Giaguaro shades feature Zeiss lenses with a rare matte acetate frame, silver arms and front bar, and are pretty much the object of my affection for spring!
We’ve talked about Deadly Ponies a lot on Sidewalk Hustle (truth be told, we actually adore them!) and we’ve come to love our Mr Bone Mailman for its functionality and adjustable cross body comfort, not to mention how effortlessly stylish and well constructed it is. For the holiday season, we recommend their limited edition Mr Snake Messenger which features black snake embossed leather and hammered brass detailing. It’s safe to say you’re going to blow her socks off with this one; it’s something she’ll cherish and wear across many seasons to come.
Who doesn’t enjoy at little Man Repelling around the holiday season? That mistletoe can get out of hand fast, so naturally we thought of the Mr. Dannijo Sinatra Collar Necklace designed by the Man Repelling expert, Leandra Medine in collaboration with DANNIJO.
We’ve had a kind of love affair with the uber fabulous italian shoe brand New Kid over the last year, wowing fashionistas at Coachella and Osheaga festivals with their stylish and comfortable patent leather Elma Neats. We think their fully leather Dreamcore boots are pure perfection for the mid season months, and with the lack of snow on the ground these past weeks, you’ll stay stylish wearing these well into the winter months.
We think a great Christmas gift, particularly the type you remember from year to year are the iconic ones, so we’re including Proenza Schouler’s PS1 wallet in mustard and black jacquard blanket fabric which is a limited edition from Fashion’s Night Out this year. The style of the wallet is a take off of Proenza Schouler’s proverbial it-bag the PS1, but is much more affordable.
Colour is an intoxicating thing in the dreary winter months so stay warm this winter with one of Virginia Johnson’s merino wool shawls, that elegantly wrap around your neck until you’re cozy warm and perfectly accented with colour and we like the Splash Violet pattern, but there are tons to choose from to suit any style.
This list would be incomplete without a bottle of nail polish or two, so we chose Butter London’s oh so must have limited edition colour The Dark Knight would make the perfect gift for most women around this time of year where subtle colours are most elegantly fitting.
We’ve really been loving Friends, this new band from Brooklyn, and because they don’t have a full album out yet, we thought as a teaser, their I’m His Girl EP would be the perfect nudge towards a new band to watch. Tied in this category is Toro Y Moi’s Underneath The Pine album new this year also. It’s a chilled out album we’ve really enjoyed listening to this year and we think most people will dig it.
It’s always nice to receive a little bit of lusciousness cream at the holidays weather it’s your everyday favourite or something new and awesome, like KORRES Basil Lemon Body Butter. We recently discovered this natural brand of face and body products made in Athens and this body cream absorbs into the skin super fast and smells excellent; good to get, good to give.
And lastly, if there’s something that’s always on every gals list, it’s sock, and this time around we suggest Barbour’s warm wooly Wellington Socks, because, let’s be honest here, who doesn’t want to stay warm in their wellies this winter?
Hopefully you’ve found this holiday guide to be helpful, even if it’s a tad late for the season. Most of the items listed above can be bought locally, in case you don’t want to splurge on holiday shipping rates.
