Apple has announced the winners of their second annual Apple Music Awards. Recognizing and honouring achievements in music across five distinct categories with the winners being chosen through a process that reflects both Apple Music’s editorial perspective and what people are listening to around the world. This year the winners for global Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Breakthrough Artist of the Year were all hand-selected by Apple Music’s global editorial team while the awards for Top Song of the Year and Top Album of the Year are based on streaming data reflective of what Apple Music subscribers listened to this year.

The Apple Music Awards celebration officially kicks off Monday, December 14, 2020, and will feature a week of performances, fan events, interviews, and more, all of which will stream worldwide on Apple Music, Apple Music TV, and the Apple TV app.
