Scion Sessions continues to spread the love supporting local musicians and this month they’re showcasing Toronto dream pop duo Etiquette’s new video for “Brown and Blue” off their forthcoming debut album Reminisce set to drop on March 24th via local label Hand Drawn Dracula.
Made up of HolyFuck’s Graham Walsh and indie personality Julie Fader, Etiquette’s sound goes down easy like other heavy weights of the genre like Beach House and Chromatics. If you’ve been following Scion Sessions you may already be familiar with Etiquette who were previously featured as part of their Field Trip limited edition Discovery Series 7” and showcase.
The video is a geometric journey that pieces together sketches and animation with Etiquette’s effortless sound.
Directors Christopher Mills and Gaëlle Legrand explain their thoughts behind the creation of the video:
“When a lonely Alchemist from a parallel universe begins experimenting with the abstract, new worlds can open up. Our camera floats hypnotically around his breezy, dilapidated laboratory, at times guided by the ghosts and memories of his past experiments – pushed, it seems, by Etiquette’s steady, pace, lush production, vocals, and cryptic lyrics.”
