The ever-cool and always innovative Scion Sessions presents their newest series, Mixtape: An Unauthorized Biography, episode 1. In the first episode of this 3-part series directed by David Mewa, Scion delves into the introduction of the compact cassette tape in the mid 1960’s and its rise to prominence as the primary vehicle for music sharing between people, P2P, in the early 1980’s. The mixtape was the original D.I.Y. tool for music lover, which started a 3 1/2 decade-long musical revolution. It’s some pretty interesting stuff. Watch it above now!
