On Monday, the much talked about fashion house Saint Laurent presented their Spring/Summer 2013 collections at Fashion Week Paris. The collection was excellent giving much praise to Hedi Slimane, but as was to be expected, the music was also much talked about. We’ve already seen the connection Saint Laurent and music has with one another and as such the show featured an extended mix of late blues artist Junior Kimbrough, created by French electronic-music duo Daft Punk, old friends of Hedi Slimane. The edit is a good one, and fit in perfectly with the collection show, but I can’t help but wish there was some new Daft Punk material in there. Oh well.
