After taking over cities all across America with events like ’30 Days in Chicago’ and ’30 Days in LA,’ Red Bull Sound Select is finally bringing that energy to the north side with their upcoming ‘3 Days in Toronto’ concert series featuring lineups made of 100% Toronto talent.
The three-day experience begins October 19 at the Great Hall with a unique collaboration between Majid Jordan and Siphesihle November of the National Ballet of Canada in celebration of the OVO duo’s upcoming album, The Space Between. Opening vibes will be provided by DJ’s Dre Ngozi and Nino Brown, Chris LaRocca and R&B singer a l l i e.
Day two of #3DaysinTO goes down October 20 at the legendary downtown venue Massey Hall and features a The Last Waltz-style group performance from BADBADNOTGOOD, Charlotte Day Wilson, River Tiber and unnamed “special guests.” The jazz/hip-hop fusion outfit has collaborated with everyone from Denzel Curry to Ghostface Killah to Tyler, the Creator so it’s hard to judge who may show up.
The series concludes October 21 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre with a showcase of the city’s premiere upcoming rap talent including Tory Lanez, CMDWN and Killy. The entire show is hosted by Jazz Cartier and features Killa Kels on DJ duty.
