Last night marked the official launch of the new Prophere silhouette from adidas and the Three Stripes recruited some of Toronto’s top rap talent to introduce the sneaker and turn a regular Thursday into a wild rap concert.
After acquiring free tickets from the FootLocker location at 247 Yonge St., lucky fans piled into the Phoenix Concert Theatre where they were greeted with adidas imagery and neon trefoil logos. Attendees snacked on complimentary tacos and refreshments while enjoying an opening DJ set from Danny Thrax.
Once the lights fell, the hall was filled with non-stop energy while fans rocked out and sang along to performances from Toronto’s own ShaqIsDope, Sean Leon, Tasha The Amazon and Killy.
