At 90 years old, Queen Elizabeth II has landed her first Vanity Fair cover. Shot by famed portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz, who also happens to be the first American to ever photograph the Queen, she appears on the cover alongside her Pembroke Welsh corgis (Holly, Willow, Vulcan, and Candy). The cover shoot was the Queen’s idea and took place at her Windsor Castle home back in April. She’s wearing a mix of blues and green Gucci loafers.
The accompanying feature includes photographs of the Queen from 2007 til now, also shot by Leibovitz. The Queen also posed with Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Royal Anne, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Princess Charlotte and Prince George. Fun fact: Queen Elizabeth is the oldest monarch in the thousand years of the British monarchy as well as the longest-reigning. Read the full feature at Vanity Fair.com.
