Preview: Converse Spring Summer 2012

Yesterday evening we had the pleasure of previewing the entire spring 2012 range of Converse including a couple of collaborative ranges with Gorillaz, John Varvatos, Jack Purcell, Marimekko, DC Comics, and our personal favourite the premium chambray and denim chucks.

For women we loved the new colourful summer styles like the the dainty Chuck Taylors in phaeton grey, strawberry pink, and athletic navy, as well as the All Star Lights in pretty shades like deep sea coral, pale banana, purple impression, and aruba blue. We particularly liked the new Coast lace ups in a woven linen type material which we can definitely see ourselves rocking during summer festival sesason. And of course, we couldn’t forget the classic chucks which now come in fabulous colours like nectarine, iris orchid, dazzling blue, and aruba blue.

While for men, we favoured new classic All Star chucks in luscious brown, black, and grey leather, a new somewhat disposable light wear summer line called Chuck It, the premium denim and chambray fabric chucks, the Jack Purcell summery colours, and the ruggedly distressed John Varvatos collaboration. Though we can’t see ourselves wearing the DC Comics or the All Star Gorillaz’s collaboration, we still think they’re pretty darn cool.

Take a look at our photos from the preview below and also check out “DoYaThing”, a new track from Gorillaz, James Murphy and Andre 3000 presented Converse yesterday over here.
