Trip-hop legends Portishead have shared a cover for ABBA’s pop classic “SOS.” Stripping away the usual cheerful chords, Beth Gibbons sings over a mournful ménage of synths. The video accompanying the track takes on a clear political statement and ends with a quote from Jo Cox, a UK MP who was violently murdered last week:
“We have more in common than which divides us”
