This year James Mercer took a bit of a break from the Shins to pursue his collaborative project with multi-instrumentalist / producer Danger Mouse in the form of Broken Bells. But for the awesome Levi’s Pioneer Session, Mercer got back with the Shins to recraft and cover the tightly-wound pop masterpiece “Goodbye Girl” originally performed by the Squeeze, and it is awesome!
