For the Salone del Mobile 2022, fashion house Dior partnered with internationally renowned creator Philippe Starck to reinterpret the iconic Medallion chair. A symbol of the Louis XVI style, Starck created a timeless reinterpretation that was driven by a “passion du minimum,” going for the absolute purity of its silhouette. The simplicity and elegance of the piece is all the more emphasized by the lightness of aluminum, a material Starck values for nobility and durability.
Made in Italy, Miss Dior is created using the only injector in the world capable of making a mould meticulously adapted to its unusual design, while keeping the integrity of the material intact. Coming with the unique feature of two armrests, no armrests or one armrest, Starck has taken a timeless utility and elevated it to the rank of art.
The Miss Dior chair comes in a satinated or polished in black chromium, pink copper or gold. They will be available at Dior boutiques by the end of the year.
