Louis Vuitton is bringing their fashion and beauty worlds closer with the first limited-edition La Beauté Louis Vuitton collaboration between Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière and Dame Pat McGrath, the Maison’s Creative Director of Cosmetics.

The collaboration marks a new chapter in a creative relationship that has developed backstage at Louis Vuitton for more than two decades. McGrath has long translated Ghesquière’s runway visions into beauty looks, and the new collection extends that dialogue beyond the runway and into everyday life.

Created to celebrate 130 years of the Louis Vuitton Monogram, the collection is divided into two distinct worlds: Monogram Dune and Monogram Infrarouge. Inspired by two of the Maison’s iconic canvas expressions, the contrasting palettes explore different facets of the Louis Vuitton woman, moving between softness and strength, luminosity and intensity.

Monogram Dune takes a quieter approach, drawing from the shifting light and warm tones of the desert. Its palette centres on soft beiges and sun-warmed neutrals, with the LV Ombres 724 Monogram Dune eyeshadow palette, LV Rouge 724 Monogram Dune satin lipstick and LV Baume 098 Stellar Veil topper balm.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, Monogram Infrarouge embraces the dramatic contrast of deep black and vivid red. The collection includes the LV Ombres 715 Monogram Infrarouge eyeshadow palette, LV Rouge 715 Monogram Infrarouge satin lipstick and LV Baume 099 Galactic Veil topper balm.

The result is a tightly edited collection designed around two opposing but complementary moods. Dune represents warmth, luminosity and understated confidence, while Infrarouge is more dramatic, saturated and unapologetic.

“Beauty has always been complementary to how I conceive a silhouette,” says Ghesquière. “With La Beauté Louis Vuitton, we are extending that vision beyond the runway.”

For McGrath, the collaboration represents a natural evolution of the creative partnership she and Ghesquière have built over years of working together. Rather than beginning with a traditional product brief, she describes the collection as emerging from the same creative instinct that informs their backstage work.

The limited-edition collection is available now priced from €170 to €300, followed by a wider in-store launch on August 27th.
