One of the definite highlights of Osheaga 2011 was without a doubt MSTRKRFT. Performing at the same time as Flaming Lips, the two electronic wiz-kids store the show on the Green stage. Uncomfortably over-packed, the small stage was lit up from the moment the duo stepped on stage. Dropping an hour an a half long set of intense dance energy, the selection of songs was on point almost to a fault. Chain smoking cigarettes and chugging back Crown Royal MSTRKRFT fed off the energy of the crowd, and they must have been hungry because they ate it up. Now I’ve seen MSTRKRFT several time before in my life but I have never seen a set like that. For the entire hour and a half I danced my face off.
