Carol Lim and Humberto Leon put Opening Ceremony’s Spring 2017 collection front row centre this past weekend. In lieu of a New York Fashion Week show, the design duo debuted items from their latest collection on stage at the Lincoln Center through a politically inspired ballet titled “The Times are Racing,” choreographed by Justin Peck.
For Spring 2017, Lim and Leon draw inspiration from America’s diverse culture and pay homage to the country’s melting pot. The collection features denim, sweats, tees, and overalls, with tassel and fringe embellishments, and lace and satin silhouettes.
The brand also unveiled its see now, buy now Action capsule – a line of hoodies, tees, and tanks featuring language that embodies what it means to be an American – available online only.
The Spring 2017 collection is available for purchase now on Opening Ceremony’s website. Check out some of our favourite shots of the Spring 2017 editorial below, photographed by Tom Johnson.
