Walking into 159 Manning it looked like we weren’t the only ones playing hooky to hang and watch bands. You could tell that the organizers had worked hard to ensure diversity of acts and the packed lineup consisted of bands both local and afar. Thanks to M for Montreal, Hand Drawn Dracula , curated by gracious host Tim McCreedy and Broken Social Scene’s Justin Peroff. Up and comers including TO’s BART and Heaters from Grand Rapids, MI, a living room stage and a backyard stage.
Catching snippets of kid on the rise, Sasha Chapin sharing his hilarious perspective on Tinder dating brought us back to reality. We thoroughly enjoyed floating back and forth between rooms sharing a moment with fellow audience members. The casual vibes and well-curated lineup made for the perfect start to night 3 of NXNE 2015
