NOAH and Converse are marking 90 years of the Jack Purcell with a new collaboration that brings the archival silhouette into the present through the New York label’s unmistakable design language.

Built around the Converse Jack Purcell 1935, the collaboration is a premium interpretation of the iconic low-top that revisits details from the model’s earliest years. Rather than radically altering its familiar profile, NOAH preserves the sneaker’s heritage-driven construction while introducing a custom plaid upper and a series of understated signature details.

The design incorporates four-stitch detailing at the heel, asymmetrical toe guards and vintage-inspired proportions drawn from the Jack Purcell archive. An updated anatomical last is paired with a 13mm PU wedge heel and fibre shank designed to provide additional support, while an OrthoLite insole adds cushioning and breathability.

NOAH’s contribution comes through most prominently in the original plaid pattern covering the upper. Embroidered cross motifs appear at the heel alongside specially designed heel labels and insoles, while a second set of red shoelaces provides a subtle contrast to the primary white pair.

The NOAH x Converse Jack Purcell 1935 will launch first in Japan on August 21st, followed by a wider release on August 26th and is priced at ¥18,700 JPY (approximately US$117) being positioned as a Japan-exclusive release.
