The Montreal noise-pop project NO JOY (lead by babe Jasamine White-Gluz) has graced us with a cover of “Pure Shores” by English-Canadian girl group All Saints (check out the original here). Best known from soundtrack to the Leonardo DiCaprio film The Beach, the track was originally first released on Valentines Day in the year 2000. Featuring Marsfade on vocals, this NO JOY cover (self-produced by White-Gluz) is refreshing take on the original that we will be adding to all our summer playlists. Dive in to the delightful version and video above.
NO JOY has been making rad tunes for over a decade now and you should check out their catalogue via Hand Drawn Dracula Records, most recently, 2020 album Motherhood & 2021 EP Can My Daughter See Me from Heaven.
