Louis Vuitton menswear head Kim Jones is lending his expertise over at NikeLab. The Packable Sport Style collection takes its inspiration from Jones’ well-traveled youth as well as what corresponding items an actual athlete might need to pack on the road. It includes the Packable Windrunner Jacket and Windrunner Top, engineered from a single piece of multi-dyed water resistant fabric. Photos of the collection, which you can see below, feature British heptathlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov.
“I wanted to use Nike technology so we found something old and made it into something that was very new.”
This is certainly timely as the Rio 2016 games are around the corner. Read the interview with Jones on nike.com/nikelab. Fun fact, he has 500-600 pairs of sneakers in his personal archive between his London and Paris homes.
The Packable Sport Style collection is available online and in select NikeLab stores starting July 26th. Shop it here.
