Nike continues to innovate and up its game, especially for women. Nike understands women and how crazy they are about working out, and we experienced this first hand last week at the Nike Womens Summit in New York. For the fashionable side in all of us women, Nike introduces a new design collaboration with Brazilian designer Pedro Lourenco, which takes innovation to a level of luxury with not only technical fabrics and combinations, but also with cuts and tailoring we never thought possible for clothes you’d wear to the gym (to be completely frank, we’d probably wear it to the office too).
The Nike x Pedro Lourenco collection is in fact so illusive that you you’ll immediately mistake it for street wear before you think about doing burpees of squats in them. We had the chance to take a look at Pedro Lourenco’s work with Nike last week first hand and were absolutely blown away by the construction and fabrics. Lourenco has been carved out a niche on the runways for his meticulous attention to detail, so it’s no surprise that he brings elegant perforations, feminine ombre fades, animal print embossing, and subtle hits of reflective fabric where you’d normally see fine leather or texture.
The collection hits stores starting November 13th and will be available in Canada at Holt Renfrew. Flip through some of our images shot during the Women’s Summit below.
