After announcing a partnership back in 2015, Nike has unveiled the first look at its basketball jerseys created for the 2017-18 NBA season – starting with the Golden State Warriors.

The new jersey design is a culmination of player testing and feedback as well as over 25 years of research “on all levels of basketball.” Each uniform is created with recycled polyester and represents about 20 recycled plastic water bottles.

Nike has also done away with the traditional “home” and “road” jersey format and replaced it with a new system allowing the home team to choose one of four jerseys while the away team selects a contrasting uniform. The Swoosh has begun their rollout with the introduction of the “Association” and “Icon” editions to replace the previous “home” and “road” colourways and plans to introduce more in the fall.
