New Balance Spring 2014 Preview x Customization Experience

Early this week we got the opportunity to preview New Balance’s upcoming Spring 2014 collection in Toronto. The impressive offering featured bright colourways as well as suede and leather detailing. It would be hard for any runner to not fall in love with one of the upcoming styles and silhouettes. NB updated the 890v4 with an extended crash pad for better flexibility along with streamlining the fit. Also updated is the popular 1080 series, with a cleaner design and added cushioning, and the 14oov2 racing sneaker was trimmed down to add more comfort without sacrificing performance. Alongside the preview we got a sampling of Fuel+ goodies and ginger ale which were all organic and super yummy.

You can expect these styles to hit retailers in January but if you can’t wait that long we recommend you check out the awesome customization option that is now available in Canada. You can now customize the US993 and US574 styles by choosing the colours and even materials, on every component of the shoe. Starting off with a base of suede in the colour of your choice you can go on to switch up the saddle, toe wrap, sole, ankle wrap, vamp, tongue label and anything else you can think of. You also have the option of taking the customization a step further by embroidering the heel wrap. A nice touch if you want to give someone a pair of personalized kicks as a gift. After creating our own pair we think maybe a career in shoe design is in the near future. Take a look at ours below.
