Today, the Yoox Net-a-Porter Group (YNAP) announced that they will be adopting a company-wide fur-free policy.

The new shift will apply to all of the e-commerce giant’s sites, which includes Net-a-Porter, Mr Porter, Yoox and The Outnet. All items and accessories made from genuine animal fur will be excluded.

Head of Sustainability for Yoox, Matteo James Moroni, said the in a statement:

“We have a strong sense of responsibility and recognize the importance of making a positive contribution to society. With a range of initiatives, partnerships, and innovations, our goal is to act as an industry-wide catalyst for change.”

YNAP has also joined forces with the Fur Free Alliance’s international Fur Free Program, which aims to protect animal and environmental rights.
