Iconic fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez is the latest in a series of designers to announce that they will no longer be showing their collections on the runway at New York Fashion Week.

For the upcoming season, Rodriguez has opted to show his collection through a lookbook and private appointments in his atelier. This comes as no surprise, as many designers have chosen to show their pieces in a similar way over the past few seasons.

The list of designers no longer presenting collections on the New York Fashion Week runway keeps growing. Even some of the most iconic names in the business will not be there for the upcoming season, including Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.

We’ll have to wait and see how this effects New York’s fashion industry as a whole. Stay tuned!
