As most of you longtime and loyal Sidewalk Hustle readers know, we get around. We do our best to stay on point with both Music and Fashion, even if that means traveling halfway across the globe to find that new sound, you can guarantee we will be there. Along side our iPhone’s and Apple laptops, we NEVER leave home without our trusty Olympus E-PL2 camera.
Why the Olympus E-PL2 you ask? That’s a good question, and the answer is pretty simple. We’ve had our hands on many DSLR cameras, running the gambit in models and makes, and yes, there certainly are better cameras out there. But when it comes to being able to take along a high quality camera, with the ability to change lens easily on a small body while traveling, there really is no comparison to this particular Olympus. From running around the desert at Coachella (check our pics HERE), to dodging runway models at Fashion shows, the E-PL2 is our go to camera.
The trend in digital cameras since about 2009 has been to create pocket-sized cameras that use interchangeable lenses like those used on DSLRs, but don’t have the bulky viewfinders. This is without a doubt a tough trick, because you don’t want to sacrifice quality. Since we aren’t technically photography-professionals, rather covert photo-assassins, we need all the help we can get. It is without a doubt the camera of choice for Sidewalk Hustle.
