Released earlier this month via Sincerely Yours and Modular, ceo‘s White Magic is the rather brilliant and upbeat solo project of Eric Berglund from The Tough Alliance.
Although it’s a tad short in nature (only eight tracks), the album is packed with electro optimism, and yet remains somehow mysterious due in part to the bands cryptic manifesto on their website.
It’s melancholy pop sound mixes with electro beats, and has some definitive Beatles attitude behind it. We don’t suggest looping this album but we would place it appropriately between other tracks on a Summer playlist.
