While patiently working away on his sophomore album, Mayer Hawthorne has decided to offer up a new six-track EP, titled Impressions, for free. The EP has Hawthorne working and reworking such hits as Chromeo’s “Don’t Turn the Lights On” and “Work to Do” by the Isley Brothers, amongst others. It’s a very solid and neat collection of songs that really highlights Hawthorne’s always entertaining, neo-soul voice. Listen to the Chormeo cover of “Don’t Turn the Lights On” below and once you’ve fallen in love head on over HERE for the full EP.
