Arbutus Records signee Mozart’s Sister is the Montreal hyper-pop solo project of Caila Thompson-Hannant.
Last summer, she released her Eternally Girl b/w Angel cassette single (with a sweet Kane West remix) and then just last week she released her sophomore album Field of Love. This week, Mozart’s Sister has released a video for album cut “Moment 2 Moment” in celebration of the release. Directed & edited by Jordan Minkoff, the video opens with a text convo about a break-up/move out and then cuts to a sweet dance sequence featuring Thompson-Hannant herself both busting a move and moving out with a sweet crew to match. As Thompson-Hannant explained about the track…
“Moment 2 Moment” is about the excitement and trepidation felt at the beginning of a relationship. Romantic love felt as a fine line between ecstasy and pain mixed with the knowledge that it will all be okay. It is a song about a personal story but made to relate to any situation felt by anybody.”
