Netflix is in talks to produce more Gilmore Girls episodes.
After the success of the four-part revival of the much loved series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, there’s been speculation as to whether or not there will be any further continuations. Although it remains unclear exactly how much more Gilmore Girls is on the way, Netflix seems keen to keep the story alive.
This past weekend, Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos speaking to Britain’s Press Association, said:
“We obviously loved the success of the show, the worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favorite show to come back and for it to disappoint you, but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more, and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that.”
With the confirmation that Netflix is in talks with show creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, we can’t wait to find out more. Fans were left reeling when the revival ended with a big cliff-hanger, prompting even more questions about where Rory and Lorelai Gilmore will be headed in the future.
Hopefully we’ll get some answers soon!
