Hip-hop royalty Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott has dropped a new track “I’m Better” featuring Lamb, and has announced a forthcoming documentary highlighting her legacy as one of the most profound female rappers of all time. Missy returns with her razor-sharp choreography and bold visuals for the illustrious “I’m Better” music video.
The 45-year-old visionary has kept a low profile since the release of her last studio album The Cookbook in 2005. After withdrawing from the spotlight for a decade to treat her diagnosis with Graves’ diseases, she staged a rather subtle comeback with a surprise appearance on stage with Katy Perry at the 2015 Superbowl half-time show and has since dabbled in several music projects, including a track with First Lady Michelle Obama. With each release over the past two years, Missy’s been reluctant to announce any plans for a new album – but we’re hopeful “I’m Better” marks the official return of Missy.
