Miley Cyrus is back to share a brand new single titled “Malibu.” Set to be included on her forthcoming yet-to-be titled album, the song was written during an Uber ride on her way to filming for The Voice, Cyrus has revealed. Based on the lyrics, it can be assumed that the song is an ode to her fiancé Liam Hemsworth, who also shot the cover art for the single according to Miley’s Instagram.
Miley has revealed to Billboard that she is taking a more holistic approach to her creative process these days, with all the melodies and lyrics for her forthcoming album composed by herself. Producer Oren Yoel assisted by playing the instruments in the recording process.
