Seeking love, sex, and revenge? Look no further – UK synthpop maestros Metronomy have shared a wild new video for “Hang Me Out to Dry” that’s sure to fill the void. Taken from their latest studio LP Summer 08, the track features guest vocals from Swedish pop genius Robyn.
While neither artist makes an appearance, the video truly packs more drama in a handful of minutes than a telanovela: our lead protagonist finds who we assume to be her lover with another woman in the backseat of a car, so she later goes out for a joy ride in his muscle car and into a landfill to seek the ultimate revenge.
The intensity of the storyline contrasts with the laidback vibe of the music, but that just makes the ending all the more thrilling.
