Manchester Orchestra have shared the video for their latest single “The Alien”, the second to be taken from the Atlanta groups forthcoming new album A Black Mile To The Surface. The video is full of dramatic and vintage imagery, coinciding perfectly against the gentle voice of frontman Andy Hull.
Director Mike Dempsey said in a press release, “While planning for “The Alien” music video specifically, we chose to do a piece that could use physical movement to express an internal feeling, in this case, it was a daughter spreading her mother’s ashes, but her experience of the event is like getting swept off her feet by a tornado.”
Manchester Orchestra will embark on an international tour this fall kicking off at Orlando’s House Of Blues on September 5 and wrapping up across the sea at Hamburg’s Molotow on November 4.
