We’re still not over the tragic news of Prince’s passing. Many artists have recently paid tribute to the lost legend and now Mac DeMarco has shared a cover of “It’s Gonna Be Lonely” from Prince’s self-titled 1979 album. As Mac said on his Instagram…
“We lost a true hero of mine the other day. Although it’s sad, I’m sure he’s ripping a hot solo right now in the next dimension. RIP.”
With the cover comes a clip, shot by Jim Larson on the shore of Far Rockaway Beach, where DeMarco lives nowadays. Watch the video via Pitchfork.tv of the Prince homage above.
