Lykke Li dropped “Get Some” and “Paris Blue” a week ago for free download in support of her new album set to drop next year and with the official video for “Get Some” finally out, the hype continues to build.
Directed by Johan Sandberg, the video features her in full barbaric costume complete with sooted hands and witch-doctor like accessories performing her less than sweet new track. When asked about the video she told Pitchfork, “I wanted the video to be this do-it-yourself, join-the-cult thing where a woman draws you in, and then– bam!— she’s going to crush you.”
Her upcoming tour dates include stop overs in Europe, the UK, the US and of course Canada; catch her in Toronto on May 22nd, 2011.
